Acoustic Visions

Anello Capuano · 2024 · 7 tracks

This album is the fruit of a miracle. It all started in 2012 when Anello Capuano met in Bali (where he has been living for the last 17 years) amazing Italian violinist and multi-instrumentalist Angelo Berardi. Then one day Angelo had the idea to get into a recording studio with a visiting musician, outstanding Indian tabla player, Australia based, Bobby Singh. So they spent two afternoons in the studio, set up some mikes and had the tape rolling to record, without any previous rehearsals, some Anello's short compositions that left much scope for improvisation. And it has been as the three of them had been playing together for years, the inspiration and the instant communication being so complete and definitive. This album is thus the result of these two sessions and the amazing fact is that the music you'll hear is exactly as it was played live, as the tracks didn't need any additional editing, everything just fell in place on the very first take of each song.
